Search Engine Optimization

Search Engine Optimization

While some companies may claim they can guarantee top organic search rankings, there is no secret to SEO. Search Engine Optimization requires much more effort.

We will focus on adhering to all search engine and W3C standards, employing descriptive page titles, meta descriptions, and link text, which will result in a clean, navigable, and searchable website.

With further targeted keyword research and link-building and the option of paid advertising, assisted by analytics, we will help your website climb in organic searches with each of the major search engines, including Google, Bing, and Yahoo.

Responsive Design

Our development team continually strives to stay on the cutting edge of today's fast-paced technology and techniques. One of the most valuable of these emerging techniques is responsive design, an approach to design in which the website being viewed adapts to fit and operate on any device, including cell phones, tablets, desktops, and many more.

With mobile device usage surpassing traditional desktop browsing, there is an increasing demand for more intuitive development. Responsive design satisfies this demand, cost-effectively, by allowing a single design to display proportionally on any given device.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is the leader in producing a complete picture of your audience's interaction with your website, providing information that is vital to understanding where your website is succeeding and where it needs improvement.

This free product allows you to analyze metrics such as total visitors, visit duration, specific pages visited, traffic sources, and endless amounts of other comparable data.

This information can be used to make adjustments to the structure of your website, and immediately, even in real-time, determine whether those adjustments are improving the quality of your user's interaction with your website.

Print Collateral

Our parent company, Lewis Color, Inc., is primarily a commercial printer and has been in business for over 50 years. While digital media is on the rise, there will always be a demand and benefit for tangible, printed products.

With assistance from direct mail services like EDDM, we can promote the launch of your new website through printed materials, such as flyers or brochures, and have them in thousands of mailboxes the day your site launches. Using analytics, we can then track how many of these mailers were converted into visitors to your site.

Not only can we build an elegant, user-friendly website, but we can also help you promote it, too!

Our Process

Our process always begins with a free consultation. This meeting will give our team the opportunity to meet your team. During this meeting, we would like to get to know more about your company and your project.
Following our initial consultation, our team will review all the goals you wish to achieve. We will proceed to establish requirements that will help define the methods our team will use to develop your website.
Site Mapping
Site mapping involves creating the base structure that will lay out the framework for how users will navigate your site. This map usually follows a tree structure, with the home page generally at the top and branches beneath leading to subsequent pages.
Project Contract
Our team will deliver a project contract which represents agreed upon terms for issues such as copyright, maintenance, updates, and payments. We will also deliver a propsal outlining projected cost, based on requirements defined following our consultation.
A website wireframe is similar to a blueprint in architecture, in that it is a skeletal framework that defines the position of elements that will exist within your website. A wireframe will generally not include images, text, or color.
After the wireframe has been finalized, our team will fill in the content, including images, color, and text. If images or colors are not provided in the planning phase, multiple options of stock images, fonts, and color themes will be selected by our team for approval.
Client Approval
Our team will present the finished concept, or concepts, to your team for approval. If you are not completely satisfied with any of the presented concepts, our team will return to the original wireframe and create revisions, until a satisfactory concept is delivered.
NOTE: Many of our clients are designers themselves or have a design team on staff. If you already have a design that you'd like to use, we can skip the Design phase and proceed straight to the Build phase.
Whether working from a design we have created for you or from your design files, the first step in building your new website involves extracting elements from these design files, such as colors, images, and fonts. Our team will precisely measure the dimensions of these elements, allowing us to accurately represent the design uniformly across multiple format displays, including high resolution displays, like retina.
With all content provided, and all the required assets from your design, our team can begin writing the code that will become your website. At this point, the development team will be working on your website online, where you will be free to view our progress at any time.
Cross-compatability is a primary concern in website design. Our team implements thorough testing to ensure that your website will display uniformly across all current browsers and across multiple devices.
If you have decided to take advantage of one our Content Management options, the required administration area of your website will be developed at this stage. Open source systems will require less time during the build phase, but may require more time in training.
Launching your new or revised website is generally as simple as flipping a switch. Depending on who has authority over the domain name the website will be hosted at, this process will usually take about 2 hours for changes to propogate around the world.
If your website requires management, using one of our Content Management Systems, for example, our team will generate thorough documentation to help guide you through the process of making changes to your website.
Training is usually only required for more advanced websites, such as e-commerce platforms. However, our team will be happy to train any individuals at your company that will be required to maintain or operate your new website.
Even after the launch of your new website, our team will be responsible for upkeep, ensuring your website continues to function as intended for its entire lifetime. If updates are required, our team will always be available to make changes to your website per your contract.
